Elections 101 is very clear. It states that the delegate count selects the nominee. So unless the poll you mentioned has changed that count, your headline is wishful but, in fact, completely erroneous.

However, do please let me know when Senator Clinton takes the lead in actual delegates. I'll be happy to congratulate the Senator from New York at that time.

I wouldn't be so smug if I were you.  In any case, we seem to be on the verge of losing the WH to an inferior Republican candidate, no matter who we put up.  That is the real issue at this point...

It wasn't my attention to be smug, only factual. There are 20 polls out every say showing the ebb and flow of the current evaluation of the candidates.

All I did was draw attention to the fact that polls don't elect candidates, delegates do. And, excuse me, your diary made zero mention of the polls effect upon the final election. Perhaps you should have told us that's what the purpose of the diary was about. Silly me, I presumed you were a Clinton supporter who was celebrating. Of course, that might have been a smug attitude while trailing so badly and I know you're above smugness.

While that may be...the SDs were created for just this situation.
