Who's Likeable Enough??

I keep seeing references by Obama supporters, many of whom are quite vitriolic on this site, about high negatives for Hillary.  But I just looked at the latest Rasmussen national tracking poll and it says this:

Clinton is viewed favorably by 75% of Likely Democratic Primary Voters...and Obama is viewed favorably by 68% of Likely Democratic Primary Voters

Hmmm.

The other thing I noticed is that this number has been fairly stable for HRC but has dropped over time for BHO.  Maybe this proves what Hillary said a long time ago, that she has indeed been fully vetted.

This same poll, interestingly, says that 56% of Obama supporters have a favorable view of Clinton, but only 41% of Clinton supporters have a favorable view of Obama.  This flatly debunks another talking point of Obama followers, that his people would vote for her but her people would not vote for him.  In fact, I still hear Obama say that at his rallies. That's a 15-point deception!

Very interesting.  I guess people just make stuff up...

If we're going to cite Rasmussen..  McCain and Obama's unfavorables are at 46% while Clinton's are at 48%.

Heh, 2% is within the poll's 3% MOE. Oh for the days when BDM would go on about Clinton's "insurmountable unfavorables" as a huge advantage for Obama. We all told him Obama would approach 50% unfavorable soon enough, but he just didn't believe us.

That's the tragic goal of the Hillary Clinton campaign; to make Barack Obama completely unlikeable.

I wonder how that'll work out in the long term.

Re: Who's Likeable Enough?? (2.00 / 2)

Riiight, accusing the last Democratic president of racism has nothing to do with it.

Any Democratic candidate, or Republican candidate for that matter, is going to end up near 50% unfavorable as the election approaches. It is in the nature of a fairly evenly divided electorate. The idea that Obama is any different was always a fantasy.

And yet somehow Obama supporters have to blame everything on Hillary Clinton. Typical.

Well, we could always choose a nominee without first testing how he'll respond to tough attacks, but that didn't work out so well in 2004.

Re: just making stuff up? (2.00 / 0)

Yes, it sounds a lot like the "we create our own reality" neo-con philosophy.  just repeat the same lies over and over and over and enough people will believe the lie that eventually it becomes truth.

another lie the O supporters kep repeating is that Florida and Michigan voters broke the rules so their votes must be trashed.  when the voters point out that they themselves did not break any rules, O supporters accuse them of playing a victim card.  blame the victim; blame them again; keep slapping the victims over and over.  what a game plan!
